CCCUK organised the seminar “How to get Insurance protection for living and working in the UK”, with speakers from China Taiping Insurance




The China Chamber of Commerce in the UK (CCCUK) and China Taiping Insurance (UK) Co Ltd co-organised a Chinese-funded enterprise insurance seminar in London on April 10th 2018, entitled ‘How to get Insurance protection for living and working in the UK’. A total of more than 50 CCCUK members attended the event.



The Vice Chairman of the China Chamber of Commerce in the UK (CCCUK), Yun Chang, delivered a welcome speech. She said that the CCCUK organised this insurance seminar with China Taiping Insurance (UK) Co Ltd in order to help CCCUK members gain more knowledge of local UK insurance market, therefore enhance the risk prevention awareness of Chinese-funded enterprises in the UK; also using this platform to strengthen the communication and exchanges between CCCUK members.



Assistant General Manager of China Taiping Insurance (UK) Co Ltd and Chartered Insurance Institute Associate, Jimmy Yan, gave a keynote speech on the British society and insurance mechanism. In his speech, he gave the CCCUK members detailed insights on the current social environment and insurance environment in the UK, basic functions and requirements of insurance, variety insurances products in the local market and claim case examples. Mr Jimmy Yan spoke to the audience in a simple and accessible way and the focus has been placed on Office Insurance, Landlord and Tenant Insurance and Car Insurance.



China Taiping Insurance (UK) Co Ltd’s Chinese Business Department and Claim Department personnel answered CCCUK members’ questions on general insurance.

CCCUK members said that through attending this insurance seminar they have learnt practical insurance knowledge. The seminar helped them to clarify the finer details of the insurance policy and claims procedures and further improved risk prevention and self-protection awareness.
